I am the founder and creative director of Padma Ceylon, a conscious fashion label rooted in the philosophy of healing through nature. My work is guided by the harmony of art, sustainability, and Ayurveda, and grounded in the rich craft heritage and endemic beauty of Sri Lanka. To me, luxury is something deeply connected to wellness, intention, and the earth itself.
I blend contemporary silhouettes with traditional botanical dyeing methods, celebrating the quiet beauty of natural color. Every piece I create is crafted with purpose, using healing plants such as neem, ranawara, tulasi, and marigold to translate nature’s essence into wearable art.
With a background in textile design, I’m constantly exploring plant-based techniques and eco-printing as a medium of storytelling, preserving craftsmanship while embracing innovation. My design approach combines technical construction with mindful, human-centered narratives, often tailored for sensitive wearers, including post-surgical clients.
Through my work, I aim to shape a new narrative of fashion, one that feels healing, honest, and deeply human.
